Dear N-aerus Members

Please see below a call for contributions to the the Water Integrity Global Outlook 2021.

Water Integrity Network (WIN) is an international NGO working with partners on promoting water integrity and governance, and supporting institutional change. WIN is searching for contributions to the Water Integrity Global Outlook 2021(WIGO), a new water integrity publication due in 2021 as a follow-up to the internationally recognized Water Integrity Global Outlook (WIGO 2016). www.waterintegritynetwork.net/wigo

WIGO 2021 will focus on how corruption and integrity failures impact on water and sanitation services in urban areas, and on efforts to reduce corruption and improve integrity, either successful or notWe are especially looking for submissions that do not simply demonstrate how to improve service delivery, but which specifically, provide the necessary tools to ensure integrity and address corrupt practices.
We are looking for contributions that show:

• Data, information and/or research on corrupt practices in urban water and sanitation and on the financial and socio-economic costs

• Cases and testimonies on how organizations, governments, private sector, civil society or other actors are acting to prevent or take action against corruption and improve integrity in service delivery in urban areas (cities, peri-urban areas and informal settlements)

• Publications and material on water integrity, urban anti-corruption work or urban water governance, references to relevant literature

• Suggestions on other individuals/organizations WIN could contact for further information

In addition to detailed information on corruption dynamics and main integrity solutions for urban water and sanitation, a number of cross-cutting issues will be dealt with across all chapters

·         Gender and other marginalized groups – vulnerability to corrupt practices/lack of integrity

·         Informal settlements

·         Human rights to water and sanitation

 ·        Water quality, not just water quantity

·         What is not working, but also what is working

·         Impact of climate change, or extreme weather

Please find the attached document with further information on WIGO 2021, guidelines on what kind of contributions are we seeking and how to share them with us or engage with us. We invite you to read it and write to the WIGO team wigo@win-s.org by Wednesday, October 16th, 2019.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions. We look forward to receiving your contributions in order to create a collaborative and instructive WIGO 2021.

Yours N-aerus Coordination Team,

Paola Alfaro d’Alençon, Jakub Galuszka, Paola Piscitelli and Mariano Scheinsohn
