Chulalongkorn University requires your expertise to establish and further develop research and teaching activities in the field of climate-sensitive regional and urban planning.
The Department of Urban and Regional Planning in the Faculty of Architecture, among other projects, has set up an international Master's programme and created a research centre for work on urban development strategies. In future, the topics of mitigating and adapting to climate change are to be systematically integrated into teaching and research activities. In addition, the international academic exchange programme is to be further developed and cooperation with planning authorities and funding institutions in the field of climate and urban development is to be strengthened.
Your tasks will involve:
• Developing and implementing innovative research projects on climate-sensitive regional and urban planning, also within the region
• Developing curricula and teaching on climate-sensitive territorial planning for an international Master's programme
• Planning and implementing training courses for regional and urban planners at national and sub-national level
• Further developing national and international cooperation with universities, cities and planning authorities
Your profile:
• University degree in urban or regional planning, geography or in another course of study suitable for the position; ideally with a doctoral degree
• Several years’ experience in developing and managing urban and regional research projects, ideally in the context of climate change
• Several years’ work experience in developing curricula and teaching in the subject area
• Experience in establishing and maintaining national and international cooperation
• Fluent business English.
